I am also new to PHP. Will doing this prevent other users on the same server from viewing your site's sessions? I had read that some host allow other sites access to sessions from sites on the same server. I guess they are stored in the /tmp directory or something.
I have tried using the persist aspemail script (with localhost setting) and even the one posted here:

At my last host I managed to do this but can't quite remember how I did it.
I had my service domain on a windows server and a subdomain of it on a unix server. I don't think I used a dedicated ip. Any ideas on how I can achieve this?
