    IMAP and SMTP

Thanks Underdog... I think I'm just going to leave my dummy pop account method in place since it works just fine. I don't really have the extra time to mess with this anymore right now, but I appreciate the help.

I get the same message with port 587.

    IMAP and SMTP

Nope... same thing... The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'smtp test 2', Account: 'mail.mydomain.com', Server: 'mail.mydomain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451...

    IMAP and SMTP

I'm just gonna keep the setup I'm using since none of my customers use IMAP to my knowledge. No use wasting anymore time on it since I have a working solution in place. Thanks, Cliff

    IMAP and SMTP

Homer - is it still working for you? Did you check the "server requires authentication" box to get it working? That's what I tried and didn't help. I had to add the pop account back to outlook to send email again.

    ASP/Access sporadic error

For this particular website I'm not very concerned about, since it's just a personal site of mine which only a few people view. But I'm about to move a customer's access/asp site over and wanted to make sure I worked all the issues out with my own site before moving his. I've never really...

    IMAP and SMTP

I tried deleting my pop3 accounts from OE and set up the "outgoing server requires authentication" part and didn't work. So back to the original setup. So to back up Homer, he's not the only IMAP user having to "rig" OE to send email. Now whether Homer is crazy or not, I can't tell you...

    ASP/Access sporadic error

Seems as though the access DB was corrupt... though I'm not 100% convinced that was the issue. The version of the DB i'm using now was giving the error before when I had the MS Access driver in the connection string, but seems to be fine now with JET. Keep in mind I started with JET, got the...

    ASP/Access sporadic error

Well everything is working now and I haven't changed anything.... ?( So that would mean the connection string is correct and something else freaky is going on.

    IMAP and SMTP

I've been using IMAP thru outlook for some time now (even at my previous host) and I've always had to set up another email address that basically does the pop before smtp to enable me to send email from my IMAP address. [email protected] = pop3 account [email protected] = IMAP account...

    Need suggestions for new Registrar

I've been using Enom for a few years now and don't really have any complaints other than having to fork over $3,975 to get $7.95/yr domains, which I can't afford. So I paid the $495 to get $8.95/year domains. More details here... http://www.enom.com/resellers/default.asp I've been looking...
