    .Net Framework 3.0

There is no such thing as asp.net 3.0 --- there is a new .net 3.0 framework coming out but asp.net is something different. Perhaps you are misreading the offering of ASP 3.0 - the legacy stuff.

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

I rarely give my clients control panel access either --- a monkey with matches in a room full of dynamite! (My reselling is usual as a value-add to other work that I do with the client)

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

I would probably suggest that the client just uses their ISP smtp server address anyway, possibly avoid some authenticaion/port blocking issues. Again, sorry on the misreading of the previous email - I'm always leary of letting clients deal with techy stuff and would rather go techy-to-techy...

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

Sorry, I misread this post - I thought that Cap'n told his client that --- not that their ISP told them that. My bad... sorry

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

Has the clients ISP Mail Server been setup to receive mail from their JH domain.com address? It has to be set up so it can create and route email to the proper mailboxes. I still have a feeling that you have only dealt with this on the JH end and not the client ISP end.

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

I think you are meaning setting up a domain alias... so [email protected] would be the same as [email protected] - again, that is doable but is something you will have to talk to the ISP about. All you can do on this end for the client is: 1) if the host isp will allow domain.com email on their...

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

Either you or the client will first have to contact their ISP to see if this is a viable option. If they say yes, then next steps can be taken but until you know for sure there is nothing much you can do.

Question concerning Custom MX Record addresses

First step is to get the details of what your client wants to do. First, we know they want to use a different email service to get their @domain email. Ask the client for the details on where they want it to go; you will need the settings from the new email server in order to change your mx...
