    Spam filter useless?

Sh*t. Seriously? A mail alias, which directs to another mailbox (which get filtered) doesn't get filtered? Neither of the boxes get filtered -- neither the alias, nor the one it gets sent to??? That's tragic! -Dave

    Spam filter useless?

One of the problems happening to me is that I have an email account which forwards mail to another. That alias account doesn't seem to filter spam. I try to turn on the checkmark, and it looks like it's on, but the spam blocking icon is gone when I return to the list of email accounts. My...

    Spam filter useless?

Yes, I noticed that this morning also... I received some spam, but not a lot. Only a few of the messages had the spam filter code within the header, though. -Dave

    Spam filter useless?

Nope, I don't see anything in the source of the email like that. I use Outlook Express to gather mail from my domains hosted here. -Dave

    Spam filter useless?

I have turned on spam filtering set to "normal" but it doesn't seem to filter anything. Yes, I turned on the main domain one, setup whitelists, and turned on each one in every individual email account also. I just don't notice any decrease in spam at all... we're talking hundreds each day...

    My only concern

This recent downtime is unfortunate but hardware problems are sometimes unavoidable. Your backup/restore procedure has obvious flaws but you have recognized them and are hopefully working on it. My only concern is trying to reach these forums... I continuously clicked the "Forums" link on your...

How to clear and reset asp Application variables

Set it equal to an empty string. I would recommend, however, that you also use a value as some kind of initialization value, such as the empty string. -Dave

    Jodohost - The Pople(')s Host

My post did say that The People's Host is correct if you are using The People as a plural group, but wrong if you're using The People in the singular form of a single group of people, such as a nation of people, as someone else pointed out. Therefore, The People's Host is correct for one group...

    Jodohost - The Pople(')s Host

Can you name a word that actually has two apostrophes? Couldn't've --> Could not have Wouldn't've --> Would not have Example: I couldn't've crashed my website without Yash's help! ;) Doesn't English just suck? How about: Yash's programmers' reference books couldn't've helped the...

    Jodohost - The Pople(')s Host

Actually, it should be: "The Peoples' Host" if you are refering to many people. However, I think you are correct in saying The People's Host because you are using "The People" to represent a group in singular form. However, in general if you're placing possession on a plural noun ending in S...

    Custom Error Pages Error

I'm not clear on what exactly isn't working for you? Are you writing in classic ASP and you want a custon 404 error page to load? Can you show us your code and the setup you've tried? I haven't setup custom error pages on jodohost, but I think you need to configure it properly in HSphere for...

How do I create .NET web app on Jodo?

You need to create a bin\ directory directly off the root of your application. If you want to place it in a subdirectory, you need to open a support ticket to move your application to a subdirectory. -Dave

Nice DB code I use for all my pages.

My tests here at work during my R&D phase for ASP.NET/ADO.NET showed a clear 2:1 speed increase. Nearly exactly twice as fast. -Dave
