Adding accts: specific names

I am migrating from cpanel-whm to h-sphere. I am having difficult time understanding the concepts, but I am learning.

For days, I have been battling with h-sphere to setup a specific acct as in: specific-name.net. If I set it up first with hosting plan, then I received error message attempting to set it up thru DNS manager...specific-name.net has been assigned, not avail. I would delete it and set it thru dns manager, but then not be able to use the name to set up hosting acct. back and forth, with no luck. I know the step by step instructions, and still the DNS Manager would not use the specific-name.net due to name already has been assigned and therefore not avail.

Is it h-sphere platform related or is it "me (as in me)" related?

during the signup process you need to select "Service Domain" then selct the domain from the drop down menu

The plan needs the service domain option checked off before it will show in the plan signup
