Apparent Routing issue from UK

There seems to have been a routing issue in the UK that caused our network to become unavailable to certain UK ISPs and some european ISPs who have their connections routed through the UK

The issue appeared to have occured for about 6 to 7 hours (intermittently) and we had absolutely no control over it. A reverse DNS showed that packets from our servers were reaching Level3's (our main tier-1) UK network but made 7 or 8 hops within the United Kingdom before disappearing.

We had contacted Level3 as soon as we had come to know about this issue and it seems to have been resolved now

Once again, I'd like to reiterate that we had no control over this issue and trace routes demonstrated that packets were reaching the UK through our tier-1. What happened after that was an issue with UK ISPs (such as Telewest Cable which was affected). The number of visitors that may have been affected are probably very minimal and such internet routing issues are rare.
