Best way to send a mass email

I have the need to send a mass email to about 1,250 email addresses to promote my sister's new book. All of these people filled out a form to be notified when it was ready, so basically opting in to this email.

I have already filled out the mass mail form Jodo requires, so my next step is to send the email.

What is the best way to do this and keep the email addresses hidden? Load them all up into Outlook (BCC) and send away? I've never sent a mass email before so any advice on sending one would be appreciated.

Has anybody ever used http://www.sendblaster.com, or know of any other free tools?

I've used the following before, and works great;


Allows signup, unsubscriptions etc.

Thanks, OJM! I'll keep WWG in mind should I need this in the future. I managed to get away with the free version of Send Blaster. Just had to create and delete my mailing list 12 times, but wasn't too bad.
