Cluster 2 Downloads Slow

Cluster 1 was slow for me, downloading at 28 KBytes/sec, so I set up an account on Cluster 2. Downloads from C2 were much faster - until now!

Now, setting up a new domain on C2, the download speed has become even worse than C1. 18 KB/sec!

This is getting really frustrating, after a year of putting up with Cluster 1 speeds and thinking C2 would be better.

A test file is at: www.activeorg.net.au/AliceSpringsMaps.zip

Can't anyone at Jodo work out why their network is so slow down here in Australia?

I'd like to mention that at a competitor - I won't say who but they're in the same area - I get over 100 KB/sec. Why would there be such a difference?

161KB/s for me in TX and that was only because it took just seconds to download and didn't get a chance to get up to the max 180KB/s on my line.

We've done nothing but add to the peering and route on both networks since we merged them to the same peering and connections.

Sigh.. thanks Stephen. I really want to stay with you guys, but if it's always going to be this slow down here, I'm not sure if it's viable. I just wish there was a way of finding out where the issue lies and if anything can be done about it. It's weird, because C2 was reaching really good speeds when I checked it some days ago. Suddenly it's gone poop. ?(

Ok, my apologies, it seems to be fluctuating wildly every so often, not consistently slow.
Perhaps there's some general internet woe going on somewhere.

I feel a bit happier.. let's see if it settles down tomorrow. Just can't wait to get my clients off cluster 1. Even though they're supposed to be the same, C1 is always at 28 KB/sec. If I could get to a place where it's ~100 KB/sec all the time, I'll be a happy chappy!
