The entire network was inaccessible to me for about 10 minutes just then... no sites, no CP, not even the JH site. Was it just me or was there a glitch in the matrix?
Check customers only, it was a upstream mistake, they were blocking some major source IPs of the Win15 DDoS, and did not complete the ACL change properly, blocking all traffic as a result.
We had instructed InterNap to block attacking IPs on Win15. They made a mistake and cut off traffic to our network for 7 minutes. InterNap is quite professional and such issues with them are rare
Well at least they're only attacking with DOS. I mean, how far do they think they'll get using DOS to do anything? :typing:
MS-DOS 6.00

working...

Sadly it was 20mb/s steady with bursts to 40mb/s incoming with HTTP POST requests to a site, even after turing the site off the attacks continued to harm the server because it was serving up page can't be displayed errors for the site.
The only route now is to unbind, block and rebind, and that is what we are doing now.
I appreciate the work too guys - my point of trouble was the mistake made by the other guys and was made in jest. I'll ry to remember my smiley's next time.
