Cluster2 they can, it is a new controllable resource called hosting alias.

Cluster1, several things are not working regarding windows servers and we are actively working with Parallels to resolve, but it too will be fixed.

Specifically:

Had a live chat session with praveen.
He said that there is a bug with hsphere and that they are working closely with psoft developers to get it sorted but he couldnt give me a time frame. So aliases couldnt be added at present

Heres what I get when trying to add an alias to a linux account on cluster2, windows account was the same

Heres the hsphere docs

So unless the upgrade has removed the domain aliases allocations from my current plans then there's a problem.
My preference would be that the upgrade hasnt interfered with my hosting plan configurations

did you add them as a resource on the plan? i don't think this is a bug we are working on. Add it as a resource in the plan and it should be an option.

Thanks Stephen
Ive always been able to add them to accounts on these plans prior to the hsphere update.
Domain Aliases Old Scheme is currently enabled under the unix plan that I did the screen shot from as is the free alocations I alloted to the domain alias resource

Praveenp: Welcome to JodoHost Live Chat. How may I help you?
craig: Where is add a new domain alias, I cant seem to locate it where your post says it is after the upgrade
Praveenp: please let me check it
Praveenp: may i know your domain name
craig: ***************.com
craig: cluster 2
Praveenp: we are working on your issue
craig: Can you give me a time frame as I have 2 new accounts that need to have these aliases added so they can have email addresses added to these aliases, can it be done manually via dns settings for now
Praveenp: hsphere is recently updataed, this feature is not working at the moment, we are continously in toch with psoft developer
Praveenp: it will take some time
craig: Can it be done manually via dns setting in control panel
Praveenp: no

End chat

I can work around it for now.

Thanks again

This was part of announcement:
* Hosting resource is made billable in Plan Wizard. Due to this, you can now set independent prices for domain and domain alias resources.

It is a rather big change I know, but it is by design :)

I can't help you on forums here, you'd be best to submit a ticket if there is an error.
I cna't get enough detail here to know what plan or what domains you are speaking of, and best not to PM me as I am about to collapse in bed(quite literally), it is not about not wanting to help, more just nearing to the point of physically unable without some rest.

No problem Stephen I'll lodge a ticket, but those plans have been in place since I signed up with jodo over a year ago meaning that they are not newly created plans since the upgrade.

You deserve the rest, I'll deal with it tomorrow

Lodged a ticket and it seems that we have to update all of our existing plans to the new way of domain alias resources, my impression from the upgrade announcement was that id only need to be aware of the new way of configuring aliases when creating new plans as I didnt think it would affect existing plans. WRONG
