I currently have a site on a Linux box that runs Aestiva's HTML/OS and I rebuilding the site in ASP/MS SQL.
I've created another domain on a windows server and the new domain name just has a 2 tacked onto it, like this:
domain.com - linux site
domain2.com - windows site
Here's the question. When I finish building the new site, I don't want to have to wipe out the original, setup another windows server and then copy all the domain2 stuff to it.
If I just do a re-point of the original domain DNS to domain2, will it work properly without reverting to the domain2 url's?
As far as I know I didn't use any hard links in the programming of the new site.
Thanks,
Joe
