domain transfers

hi all

i have a domain at Netsol, which i want to transfer to Namecheap, obviosly because of the cheaper price.

i just put in a request at namecheap yesterday, and today i got an email, that i must click on a link to get it done, but the link is at a site called www.transfer-approval.com (with an ID string included)

i just wanted to find out whethere this is standard, or whether ti will be authorizing omeone else access to me domain or something....
i'm sure the folks here have some experience...

Hmm, some caution might be in order. You should check on the NetSol and Namecheap pages for any references to this domain. If you can't find any, I'd contact them to confirm this...

However, the domain is registered by eNom, Inc., so it's not overly suspicious. Maybe it's just some domain reseller thing?
 
Hi Snooper,

Namecheap is a reseller of Enom. When somebody tries to transfer a domain to Enom, the approval email is generated from transfer-approval.com (which belongs to enom). So it is absolutely safe to go ahead.
