We are in the process of downgrading Win1 and Win4 to Windows 2000 from Windows 2003. We have taken this decision due to the large number of problems we are facing with the Windows 2003 operating system.

A new parallel server has been setup called win5. An automated script is transfering your account to this new server and giving you new IP addresses. Currently, Win4 is being transfered at this time, approximately 50% of the sites have been transfered. We estimate that the Win4 will be completed in the next 4 hours and then Win1 will begin. This migration will solve all issues are customers have been experiencing on the Win2003 machines

If your site becomes unavailable, you are requested to do this:

Start > Run
and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns

If your site still doesn't come up, open a ticket immediately. To check whether your account has already been transfered, login to your control panel and check which server you are on (by clicking on Account Settings). If you are on win5 you have been transfered.
Run the command above and then test your website. You'll have to reinstall your SSL certificates once you have been shifted over. You may also start using FTP with host name: win5.jodoshared.com.

There seems to be alot of confusion on the forums. This transfer was suppose to be transparent to everyone and you didn't have to worry about not making any changes till the official announcement.

Additionally, our new servers are running:

Dual P4 2.4GHZ Proccessors
2GB DDRAM
2x73GB SCSI Hard disks (RAID1), Hot-swappable
Windows 2000 Standard

Resellers are requested to add the win5.yourdomain.com alias from Server Aliases under E.Manager

We will also be compensating customers who faced issues on our Win2003 servers

Email [email protected] with the issue you faced and for how long. We'll calculate the credit according to our uptime SLA

We have halted the downgrade process till we have corrected some issues we are facing with the process

When it starts again, an update will be posted here
