DSN/ODBC on CF server

Hey,

Are the DSNs created automatically from the control panel because it seems I always have to ask support to create them on the server which is getting annoying when you have 5-6 clients on CF asking you that...

Is the creation automatic or manual? I had one support tech tell me it's automatic and it takes about a day until CF restarts and another told me I should always request support to create them because it's not an automatic feature on H-Sphere....

Another thing should the path be the full path to server?
E:/hshome/username/domain.com/DB.mdb
 
Dave, creation is automatic, however it does not happen until CFMX restarts, which can be a long time, so manual creation is most of the time best if you don't want to wait 24-48 hours for the DSN to create.
