Dumb Question Regarding ASP Programming

Hi,

I know nothing about programming in ASP. My customer asked me the following:

I was wondering if you have something installed on your server like mod_rewrite module thats on apache.

so i can turn my asp links into nice ones.

www.test.com/page.asp?id=2&cat=news to
www.test.com/page/2/news/football

Is there a way of doing this? Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry but we do not have ISAPI rewrite installed, and do not plan to have it.

I once played around with using the 404 functionality to do this but I wouldn't recommend it on a production server.
