EasyApps Collection

KWSLLC

Guppy
I have recently (like the last two days) set up my Jodo reseller account and am now playing with some "test" domain/accounts. The EasyApps Collection seems to have a lot of good stuff, including some that I have previously worked with.

My problem is that no matter which app I select, when I try to install I get the same error message:

Error creating app:
12/15/2005 10:09:09 AM
Windows H-Sphere engine version: 2.43.779.50715
Server name: ABJHWIN1-9CGVNE
Server IP: 204.10.105.209
Psoft.HSphere.Transport.Protocols.ProtocolException: Service "easyappservice" not found

What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

EasyApps works with only linux account not with windows account, if your account is on linux then please create a ticket with error details

All my stuff is on Windows servers.

Do you have a listing that details what is available on Linux, Windows, and both? It is a major pain in the butt to waste time trying to get something working when it is not really available.

EasyApps is not installed on windows servers, at all. We don't have Easyapps enabled on our shared plans, and yor customers won't get confused if you don't enabled it either.

I repeat, is there a listing somewhere that will say what is available under the Windows plans, what is available under the Linux plans, and what is available under both?

It would be nice to know IN ADVANCE when one is doing the setups.

The option to enable Easy Apps appears in the Windows plan setup. In the Linux plan setup, there are lots of Linux-only options that don't appear in the Windows plan setup. It's only natural to assume that if it's an option, then it would be an option that does something.

I may have missed it, but I don't recall seeing any announcement about Easy Apps when it was added, and there is no warning in H-sphere that the option isn't actually available when selected.
Both PHP and MySQL do work on Windows, after all, so why would a reseller jump to the conclusion that selectable built-in PHP/MySQL applications don't work?

bro,

We can't remove the "easy apps" from showing up on the windows plan setup or we would do so.

Bro, thanks for the support.

By the way, I did do a search on the boards here for "EasyApps" and "Easy Apps" but found nothing that would say that it was Linux only.

Is it possible to flag it in some way? Maybe change the name of it to 'EasyApps-Linux only', something like that?
I'm sure more than one reseller has tried it out on Windows plans. I was looking forward to trying out one of the blog applications myself when I got time, and it certainly didn't occur to me that it wouldn't work on Windows.

EDIT: so they're not going to be available on Linux either?
