Email-only on .co.uk sub-domain

I have a .com domain that's working fine. I also have a .co.uk domain that currently just forwards to the .com
I need to add some POP email accounts on the .co.uk. Is it possible to do something like this? Is there a way to make a domain alias that would work for email, but still forward web requests to the main .com domain?

if .co.uk domain forwards using URL forwarding, then just enable mailservice and create mailboxes.
If .co.uk domain is already a domain alias, disable "mail domain alias" and you will now see an option "Mail service". Enable it and you will get the capability to create separate mailboxes for this domain alias.
