Email Problem after domain transfer

Hi,

We have taken on a new domain to host. They have their emails hosted elsewhere. I have turned off the email service for their domain in control panel but emails are still being caught there by Jodo and now being returned as failed attempts to send

Can someone please advise the best thing to do?

The person who owns the domain pointed the naemservers at us. Was this incorrect? If so what should we do to rectify?

If I look in our controls panel on Jodo there are no MX records just A Records so why is Jodo attempting to catch?

Added a custom MX record but how do I know what to put in for Name and Data? Where do I find out the mail domain name that he already has etc etc? Is it the POP3 / SMTP server address?

Probably due to old DNS data cached somewhere. Are you still seeing this problem?

name should be blank (unless MX is being created for a sub-domain), data should be the hostname for the actual email server.
POP3/SMTP server IP can be different than the actual mail server IP.
So its best to ask email provider about it.

You can create a support request with the IP address of the real mailserver and techs will assist you to get this done.
