Everytime an ip migration occurs I have to reset my modem/router

It seems like whenever something like an IP migration occurs, I am no longer able to access websites like jodohost.com until I reset my modem/router. Is there a way for me to fix this? I have had to do it a couple of times in the past two weeks.

We would only perform an IP migration in a very rare situation .. IP migrations are not perfomed every week, or ever month, or every year either...

If you've had to reset your modem a couple of times in the last 2 weeks, I suspect another issue here..

I might be wrong. It is probably not an IP migration. It is definitely something else, as last night it happened again. I cannot connect to www.jodohost.com but I can get to support.jodohost.com.

This is very weird and I do not think I am the only one experiencing this. I have had customers (who live halfway across the country from me) not able to access mail.theirdomain.com or cp.mydomain.com until they reset their cable modem/router as well and I am not sure what is causing this.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Only thing I can think of atm is that you all share the same (crappy) ISP. It doesn't really make sense for a modem reset to fix any issue that is not ISP related.

That's weird. My ISP is cox.net and they are a major cable/communications company.

In my experience that doesn't mean anything. Here in the Netherlands the biggest ISPs are also the most crappy ones :p
