FTP Upload Issues

Trying to upload a larger number of files to our accoutn using FlashFPX. It starts out fine but after a few mins it starts to fail. Have to reset connection abunch of times and then it seems to work again, then same thing again.

Any ideas why or howto prevent this or best way to FTP?

I have been helping users migrate files, and uploaded over 3GB in the last 3 days for various users without any problems(except it seems I left a folder or two out for a domain, just my mistake in queue management)

I'm also getting slow ftp speeds. I'm on win11. I get around 6-7 kb/s uploading and 50-60kb/s downloading. I've tried both active and passive mode, flashxp and ftp.exe but I get the same speeds. When I ftp to other servers I get much faster speeds.

lars,

Win11 is new, it is running with 0 load, and my tests will max my upload and almost max my download, are you uploading large files, or many small files?

Just a moment ago I uploaded a bunch of small files (1kb) and they max out at 7-8 kb/s but every other upload stalls for 5-20 sec. When I upload larger files they average at around 7kb/s but the speed varies erratically between 20kb/s and 0kb/s.

I am running xp sp2 with no other firewall than xp's own. I've looked in pfirewall.log but I find no dropped packets.

When I download I get around 80kb/s with ftp and 150kb/s with http.

Can you test uploading outside your network?
