I just switched registrars for my hosting domain (lighthouselane.com) from GoDaddy to 1and1.

1and1 in their majestic manner hosed my DNS settings and replaced them with their own..........

It's been so long I forgot how to do this.....I THINK I need to put IP addresses in the DNS for my hosting account, but I'm not sure.........HELP!!.....z

Ok, starting to remember this stuff.

I think all the changes need to be done at 1and1.

Need to create 4 new subdomains at 1and1 and point them to the IP addresses of my name servers.........

Thanks..........z

Yes, you can find the IPs for your nameservers in your reseller if you cna't login there get on our livechat and have someone in tech support reset it back to default for you (it will be the temporary res.m****here.biz address but at least it will work)

Thanks Stephen...I already did that to get in, and found out what all 4 were.

Apparantly I need to create 4 SubDomains at 1and1.com, under my Main domain lighthouselane.com, and put the IP addresses into those 4 records............Man, talk about being up to my ass in alligators when I tried to drain the swamp.....lol..........z

1and1 doesn't work like most, I know when I switched from netsol to godaddy it brought all the nameservers and dns records over :)

1and1 has hosed them before, but this time it's kinda a bigger deal, since all my websites need those records........Lucky I caught it soon. But that $3 per domain per year less adds up when you have as many domains registered as I do.......

Hopefully they won't be down too long.................z
