At the moment, each mail server has their own copy of webmail running. An issue with this has been that webmail contributes to a significant portion of the load on the mail server. And sometimes, during heavy activity the webmail interface appears slow.
We have taken the decision to move webmail away from the mail servers and run it on its own, independent server. This should improve usability and reduce webmail related issues on our mail servers.
We have purchased and licensed DWMail, widely regarded as one of the best webmail interfaces out there. To access webmail, any end-user on the jodohost mail system can use these URLs:
The url for webmail is:
http://hspheremail.info/
Accessing webmail via the Control Panel and via mail.yourdomain.com will be deactivated. A timeframe for this would be announced.
Resellers could brand this webmail URL by simply adding a CNAME record to any of their domains or subdomains pointing to hspheremail.info or the IP address. Detailed instructions will be posted shortly.
