install ssl certificate renewal

Hoping for some confirmation that this procedure will work to install a renewed ssl cert into hsphere

Once I get the new certificate based on the original csr which was generated within hsphere is it possible to just install it using the
install certificate based on a previously generated CSR utility.

I've been removing the old ssl cert and regenerating CSR's in the past and figure there must be an easier way to do this by using the original csr generated from within HSPHERE
