I want to set up a gateway for my hosting site. I went to authorize.net and they say I must “Obtain an Internet Merchant Account”. I have a couple of questions.

  1. Who are people using?
  2. What is the cost? (2Checkout is $0.50 per transaction, paypal is a percent) What would the total of authorize and the merchant account be?

I am currently running with paypal and 2checkout which I have been doing fine for the last year, but I want to grow now and automate more of the processes.

you can try linkpoint from card service international. That is what we use and it has allowed us to completely automate billing

Can you point me to how to sign up? Do you know the cost?

Maybe that can help answer some questions, many times the fees are associated to credit, or at least used to be.
