Following our constant efforts to provide better quality service, we have planned move mail services on the server mail5 to a brand new server.

Hardware configuration of the new server:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU Quad core 2.4Ghz
4GB FBDIMM RAM
SATA-II raid10 Array, available capacity - 457GB

Operating system: CentOS 4.5

The switch to the new mail-server is expected to happen at Saturday 11:00 PM EST, on saturday, December 8.
Possible downtime is 20 minute or less and no mail will be lost during the process.

Updates will be posted to this thread as and when available.

For some reason mail5 migration could not be started yet, still it will take another 1-2 hrs to be started. We will keep updating this thread.

this is delayed because the file sync is taking longer than we had planned, and we want to be sure all files and settings are synced.

The sync is done but we are re-syncing one more time to ensure all files are moved, this is going to delay the control panel maintenance by about another 30 minutes it seems.

Mail5 migration is still syncing files, we are going to have to postpone the Control Panel maintenance tonight due to this

We had to reschedule this migration. now this will be performed on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 8:00:00 PM EST .

As an immediate issue we see that mail for past some hours may repeat as they weren't removed correctly from the new server even when they have already removed from the source (old mail server).
