Mail6 Latency/Slowness

Hello,

I and my clients have all been getting periodic timeout errors from domains using Mail 6 since last Monday. Looking at the Jodo pulse mail server page over the last two days, Mail 6 is showing very high response times. I asked about this using chat support and the response was mostly non-responsive. They did say the load shown on the Jodopulse page was incorrect but that was it. Seems like this issue shown on that page might be responsible for the issues I and my clients are having.

Is there an ongoing issue with Mail 6? Why does the Jodo pulse page show an issue if there is none? Below is what it is showing currently:

the sensors vary by location of the check, the display rotates between datacenters for the checks(there is one that is inside the network with all the others, and others outside the datacenter in various locations)

When you see 1ms it it inside the datacenter most likely, we have another check here in miami in another datacenter and if it hits a perfect route it can be a simple 2-4ms, others are varying between 12-190ms for a simple ping and obviously others would take a bit longer.

What I am saying here is you can't take the numbers as a simple comparison as the checks may vary between locations at the time of display

Thanks for the reply. I see what you are saying with the results but there is a huge, huge discrepancy between the numbers on Mail 6, which is still showing SMTP 12103 ms, POP3 3025 ms. All the others show seek times of 1 - 186 at the most, reasonable numbers when compared to Mail 6. This cannot be normal. Any idea why Mail 6 is 10 to 100 times higher than the others? Thanks!
 
The DNS services lookups have been adjusted on mail6 now and replies are faster.
