Hi

Is any other Win VPS account holder having trouble sending emails from their VPS to yahoo or hotmail?

I have had PTR records created for my Ip's and I still cant send emails (or have a severe delay, 30hrs)

Please let me know if you have had this problem and what you did to fix it.

Thanks

Will

Here is an example of the mails I get back (around 100 a day!)

I looked at this, but was unable to see an actual failure or anything OTHER than a delay message, and have been researching it a bit.

I think this may be due to no rDNS, please submit a ticket and request your rDNS names, we will need to know what you want each IP named.

Hello

I do not think that its rDNS I have had an rDNS entry created for each of my IPs. And I am still getting hundreds of failure or delay messages a day. It only seems to be AOL, Yahoo and Hotmail though.

I have had a rDNS record created for my IP in the office, I am going to set up mailenable here and do some testing to see if messages sent through my test mail enable server have problems with the above mentioned domians. If I have problems I can only summise that the problem is with mailenable, and if I send mail ok then the problem must be on the Jodo network.

I will post my findings this evening.

Hey I just found the problem!
(with some user assistance)

the problem is the HELO greeting by default is not a FQDN(fully qualified domain name)

You need to change the MailEnable SMTP Connector to mail.yourmaindomain.com and then go to the plesk service manage, and restart all MailEnable services.

Then you should be set.

Hi, can you explain more precisely how to setup MailEnable SMTP Connector .
First open:
Mail Enable Administrator > Servers > localhost > Connectors > SMTP > Properties
and then?

Sorry for dumb question.
