main domain/subdomains split across servers?

I've got a client with a domain and several distinct sub-domains that each require different packages to work optimally.

I can't figure out how i'd set that up in hsphere, since the subdomains need to be established under the zone file of the main domain and there can be only one zone file on the hsphere system. If I create separate accounts w/ stop-gap domains, then I have no way of pointing to them from the main zone file.

So, what I'm after is:

domain.com -> account 1, package 1, server 1 (IP is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
sub.domain.com -> account 2, package 2, server 2
sub2.domain.com -> account 2, package 2, server 2
...

I know I can do this if I choose to host the subdomains somewhere other than jodohost -- but that'd be silly... ;-(

this would only work with a service domain where you enable third level domains.

what about setting them up with a direct reseller account and doing this?
