SUMMARY OF WORK: IOS Upgrade and Hardware replacement
PURPOSE OF WORK: Repair
DETAIL AND IMPACT: Intermittent connectivity loss during the window period.

Our upstream will be updating the IOS on their core routers to eliminate a suspected software problem that occasionally causes the router to spontaneously reboot under certain conditions when used in conjunction with the Internap FCP. As an added precaution the router hardware is being swapped and upgraded at the same time to absolutely ensure that the problem is eliminated.

NOTICE!

This maintenance has been postponed indefinitely due to the head network engineer that was to perform the core maintenance having a medical emergency in his family. He has called to inform that he will not be available to do the software changes required and all the planning was coordinated through him. We have just been given notice of this, and passing it along accordingly.
We all wish him the best in this emergency; they will perform the maintenance in 2-5 weeks time, we were assured it will not be next weekend.
