MIVA Setup

I noticed in an announcement thread that MIVA is supported. But I can't seem to find how to activate it through the plan creation wizard. I don't see it listed in the ecommerce section... am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks!

David3rd,

That was actually just a paste of new features in Hsphere, we do not have miva/miva engine installed to make it usable, nor have we ever advertised that fact.
It was just an accidental oversight in the paste.

Ahh ok. Thanks!

So that means that MIVA is not usable at Jodo? Is that correct?

I'm in the process of transferring about 70 accounts and it looks like some may use MIVA. So I just need to know if I should have them convert to something else first.

Thanks!

David,

look for .mv files if I am not mistaken. To know if miva is just enabled, or if it is being used.

crhosting,

Miva is a ecommerce scripting engine, I don't know much more than that about it.

I just had a query from a client who is interested in building a storefront. From a quick scan of the Miva site, it requires some sort of scripting engine to work. It's also pretty pricey. And since it's not supported here, that rules it out for me. I know there a zillions of e-commerce packages out there, just wondered if anyone here has any recommendations? Needs to run on Jodo Win servers (and preferably classic ASP)

Thanks,
Rory

Give CandyPress at try - works fine on the Jodo Servers and is relatively inexpensive. (and is classic asp)

Message me if you would like the URL of a CPress store that I have running on JodoHost
