Hi,
I have been emailing support back and forth for the last week concerning a new mod_security issue which has affected some of my hosting customers under my Reseller plan. It seems a security update that Jodohost made about 10 days ago has caused the following error (or similar) to appear when submitting forms on these sites:
==============
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/admincp/adminpermissions.php on this server.
--------------
Apache/1.3.37 Server at domain.com Port 80
==============
So far during my contact with support, it seems that this issue must be resolved on a URL by URL basis. This has been EXTREMEMLY time-consuming for me, as I have to correspond with each of my customers one-by-one and ask them for every URL where they receive this error, the steps to reproduce the error, share the same information with Jodohost to solve the issue, and then finally follow-up with my customer to ensure the problem has been fixed.
I have now lost one customer because of this problem...they have decided to go with another host because, in their words, "we are irritated that these problems were caused on your end, yet you can't seem to solve the issue with any expediency and require so much work and information from us that it actually slows down our workflow!"
Needless to say, this is a BIG problem for us when we begin to lose customers because of changes by Jodohost.
Could you please let me know of the absolutely fastest way that I can resolve these mod_security issues with you. It would be the most helpful if you could solve the issue on a domain-by-domain basis WITHOUT asking me for each and every URL affected (as there are too many). Please let me know.
Sincerely,
Michael
