MSSQL2 packetloss - resolved, changed switchport

We are seeing an odd issue with MSSQL2 having strange packetloss on outbound packets from both internal and external networks. I am going to reboot in an effort to resolve this.

Re: MSSQL2 packetloss - rebooting immediate.

it has been rebooted and back up, there is still a little packetloss and we are investigating it, it is in no way affecting the entire network simply one server, so it is not a network based issue.

Re: MSSQL2 packetloss - rebooting immediate.

I believe I have found the issue, the bad news is that the network is down on mssql2 at the moment, working on it now to get resolved.

Re: MSSQL2 packetloss - rebooting immediate.

We are working on changing the switch port at the datacenter on this server, it will be resolved within 10-15 minutes at maximum.

Also I'd mention that MSSQL2 is not down fully, we have it restored to just having packetloss again, but working to get that 100% resolved.

Re: MSSQL2 packetloss - rebooting immediate.

ok We've been up and running for 7 minutes now with 0% packetloss and working like we are supposed to! This server was on an older switch that I thought we'd moved all servers that were live off of, but it turned out we forgot one, when it started acting up I found this out and worked to resolve but was unable without physically changing the switchport at the datacenter.
