My first potential customer, but . .

Hello all,
Well i haven't even got my reseller site setup yet and i already have a potential customer.

There's just one problem though, he wants to create a softcore adult site. According to him, it will be completely non-nude. Mostly girls posing in bikinis, short skirts, etc.

This is the kind of site he wants to create. http://www.princessblueyez.com/

He doesn't own this site, it's just an example he says he wants to imitate.

I kinda fibbed a bit and told him i'd need to contact my lawyer to see if it was ok.

Does anyone have any advice for me? Any JodoHost execs here that can give me a yes or no?

Thanks in advance.
Richard M.

of course im not jodohost, but i wouldn''t allow that from one of our clients. i mean we would not accpt a client with content like that.

reading though jodo's TOS and a topic from a while ago - 6 months or so) . i would say they wont allow it. but thats my opions and sights to what jodo will say

Richard, We do not allow/promote nudity. And we think that a site of this kind is a voilation of our TOS.
So, No. We will not allow any site like this to run on our servers.

Thanks for the quick replys.

I had reservations about this kind of site as well, but i wanted to get a second opnion from you guys so i could have some ammo when i said no to the guy.

Thanks again.

In the original question, it was clearly stated that the site was non-nude, so your nudity argument is irrelevant. Is there another reason why this site would not be allowed?

It is the matter of perception. What is nude/vulgar is our view, may not be same for you. I checked the site mentioned above and found it is a kind of PORN.

BTW have you seen the site mentioned above ?

Vulgar is subjective. Nudity is not. Photos of women not exposing any private parts is not nudity, therefore this should be allowed. It is also no vulgar if tastefully done.

I did view the openning page of the example site, and regarded it as simply an example. The user stated he wanted to create a non-nude site, so I see no reason why it should not be allowed. Can you site an exact reference from the terms of service that the proposed site does not follow?

Logan, First page is just the tip of the iceburg. Can you gurantee that this site is free of porn?
You should see our TOS more deeply, there is clauses mentioned about these restrictions. In General Abuse:

4. Hosting, promoting or linking to pornographic content.

I am more concerned with the reference site. There is no rollback once you start promoting these things. And we want to make sure we are not the one promoting nudity in any form.

Again, the user want's to setup a non-nude site. Ignore the example site as it's not the site that will be setup. Surely you're not censoring sites before they are setup.

My suggestion to rmethod is to review the TOS with the end-user, and if they agree to follow the TOS, there should be no problem.

There is no reference to nude or non-nude on our site.
Hosting or promoting pornographic content, or content that would not be suitable to be viewed by minors is not permitted

So I guess "...it will be completely non-nude. Mostly girls posing in bikinis..." would be OK content then.

Definately. That sort of content is OK (especially if its a personal photo-album)
