MySQL 4.1

Just wondering if Jodohost plans to upgrade MySQL to version 4.1, I would advise for the time being keeping the lower version.

I was hoping eko or someone else could comment on this.

Is MySQL 4.1 still having problems? My understanding is that it's been declared 'fit for production'. I'm looking into way to optimize one of the database applications I use with a JodoHost MySQL server, but I keep running into MySQL 4.1 only features, like server side prepared statements or sending multiple query statements at once (which is important because many updates are being done over a remote connection)

Of course, all the new gadgets are useless if it doesn't work, which is suggested above by eko. Can anyone confirm?

This is a difficult one as many open source CMS don't yet support MySQL 4.1

Is there any plans to upgrade to 4.1 in the near future?
