Nameservers vs Dedicated IP

When a Customer has a dedicated IP, do they need to set their Nameserver to the dedicated IP or the allocated Nameservers for me as the reseller...in other words should he be using NS3 & NS4 that is for all my customers or just use his dedicated IP?

I believe all it needs to be... is that the domain that has the dedicated IP points to your NS Nameservers.

I am sure someone will come along and correct me if I am wrong.

The nameservers must be set to the name servers and not the dedicated IP. If you set it to the dedicated IP the site will not work.
 
some reseller hosting companies assign a private DNS IPs for their resellers.
i.e. 2 IP are dedicatd for the nam servers.
