I am reseller on Jodo and have been with Jodo for more than 3 years. The outage we experienced yesterday was the worst I have ever seen since I have been with Jodo. Now I know that the issue is being dumped on the vendor but I don't quite buy the limited explanations Stephen is posting. I will first quote something from Jodo's website under Why Jodo.
"The facility uses CISCO routers and switches setup for redundancy and reliability. We are connected by premium tier-1 carriers such as InterNAP which ensure 100% network reliability. This translates into faster downloads and better reliability for our customers."
So if one vendors link went down how come we had to experience such a prologned downtime. Why did the network not converge to another providers link? What happened to 100% network reliability? Why again is this going to happen when the fiber link provider is going to be upgrading their system? Why can't jodo switch over to the backup provider while the maintenance work is being done.
