Hello all,

Has anyone installed nopCommerce on Jodohost?

I'm getting errors regarding the access to database in the installation. The error is "Setup failed: No database instance".

The connection string used and a CREATE TABLE command is working successfully on a test page on the same server.

I already asked jodo to give read permissions to the relevant files/directories required by noCommerce, and the same.

I'm really lost here... and the client is starting to be a little bit upset. I'm on this for 3 days now.

Open a support ticket with mention db name we will create special (sql view) login for database. Hope it will resolve your issue.

Hello,

I successfully installed nopCommerce.

For future reference (maybe this thread should be moved to knowledgebase), the raw connectionstring I used didn't have the Initial Catalalog specified:

Data Source=(server);User ID=(user);Password=(pass);

Only without the Initial Catalog the error "No database instance" was supressed. If someone cares to explain why I would be grateful But it's working
