Something happened to the network for about 4 minutes time, we are working to find what this was, it was not planned, and not our equipment it happened outside out network. We will update when we know more.

Re: Outside network drop - resolved but checking

We have just been informed that the border router threw a software error and rebooted itself. The network is back up fully now, and it will be fully investigated.

Re: Outside network drop - resolved but checking

We are noticing that there are a few routes that are still not working properly and have notified them of this matter to be checked on urgent basis.

Re: Outside network drop - resolved but checking

We have narrowed the issue down to it only happening when the client is on a cogent based network and returning packets to them is looping, we are working to resolve this with them as soon as possible.

Re: Outside network drop - resolved but checking

OK We again went down for about 3.5 minutes after they were working on the issue mentioned above. They restarted the router and are going to load a previous configuration at the last update from them.

Re: Outside network drop - resolved but checking

They have reloaded a previous configuration and it is working fully now, even to cogent inclusive networks.

This matter first started when the router rebooted itself due to a software error, which is very rare.
