Problem with Joomla Email

I have installed Joomla and I can't seem to get it to send any emails. What settings are others using for email?

I have tried smtp mail, sendmail, and the phpmailer. All with and without smtp authentication and still no luck.

Will someone share their configuration with me?

Sorry for the delay here, you will need to use SMTP or have the smtp server set in the php.ini, if you are on a server other than win23 just mail support and ask for a php.ini to be placed in your account so you can put it on your domain editing the mail server line to include your mail server.

if on Win23 you can ask to be put on php4 and then do the same as above.
