Problems moving .Net sites to 2.0 Framework

I have to move my ~75 clients from 1.4 to 2.0 .Net framework.

I was going to do it all last night but ran into problems.

Everyone of them gives me a:
'The page cannot be found'
or sometimes
'The website declined to show this webpage'

Tech Support did something that fixed it but they seem to have to do each one individually.

This takes forever and I assume is a burden on your support.

I'm going to continue the process and update my ticket every 10 websites or so.

If there is a better way to do this then let me know.

This is on the reseller side, not your VPS, correct?

If so it sounds to me like it is still serving from the old pool till the new one with the new asp.net pool kicks in, we can force the recycle (normally looking at about 2-5 minutes from the point you request the asp.net version change), and that will resolve it.

When I first change .Net versions I get the pool error. I then change it again and then it takes.

I waited an hour or 2 to see if it fixed itself and it didn't. How can I recycle the pool myself?

you can try editing the web.config even adding a space or line break, and saving, it works sometimes.

I tried reuploading the web.config on one of them and it didn't seem to work.

I'll try again on the next round of 10.

At least this might fix the asp temp file issue you've been seeing on my sits.

Stephen,

Thank the techinical support staff that helped on this.

We got about 60 websites moved to Net 2.0 in the last 48 hours.

Looks like I missed a couple but there'll be no hurry on those.
