There seems to be a problem with our IP provider's name-servers due to which PTR (rDNS) records are not being returned correctly. We are looking into the issue and will post an update soon.

Re: rDNS issue on mail5 and mail6

Their techs are looking into the issue.
As an update they suspect some network problem.

Re: rDNS issue on mail5 and mail6

They are rushing a tech to the DC as the problem is not resolvable remotely from their office (much much slower to react than we expected). For now I've made changes so customer can send/receive the emails. But the emails will not leave the server until we get the issue resolved. This is to avoid the bounces that can be caused due to rDNS records being absent.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused here. Delay is mostly because everything being done is outside our reach and control.

Re: rDNS issue on mail5 and mail6

While the IP provider is still dealing with the issue, our mails are flowing back again with our temporary arrangement. We deeply apologize for the issue and our going to make arrangements to be able to go around them in future.

Re: rDNS issue on mail5 and mail6

The rDNS issue is resolved now as well. Configs restored to original state.
