reseller accounts confusion

hey admins.

I have a questions i have been trying to sort out with billing over the last few days i would like to send for your attention, and maybe make a clarification for other clients as well.

if i have a valueHost reseller account, i get 20 accounts included. cool.
every account above those 2, i pay extra $6 per year.
so if i add another 5, i will be paying an extra $30 per year. cool too.

But - when i cancel an account, in the above situation where i have 25 accounts, should i not be credited the unused period of time? eg: if i cancel after 6 months, i should be credited $3, because i paid $6 in advance for the whole year. right?

billing is trying to explain - that i only get credited on those accounts BEYOND the 20 initial accounts.
but this doesnt make sense. cos if i not have 18 of the initial accounts, and the extra 5 - its really as though i have 20+3.

so where am i misunderstanding here?

CP tracks free and paid accounts. Partial Refund is made for paid account. If a free account is deleted, it will let you add another account for free even if over the free account limit.

Important:
- No refunds are issued for the removal of the resource units acquired for free.
- No refunds are issued for prepaid resource units that become free upon the removal of the resource units acquired for free.

if i have 3 over (ie 20 + 3),

and i cancel 3 - that means i am back within my alloted resources, as i should be,
so why should i be paying extra ?

When you delete 3, if all those 3 were paid account, you will get partial refund.

If all those 3 were free, you will be able to add 3 new accounts for free.

this is not what happened to me. I deleted 1 free account and still got charged $6 when I created a new one...
I want that $6 back!

I did send email to billing and very disappointed with their reply. and took very long for them to reply without any resolution to my case.

I think of the account is not correctly billed. Billing has opened a ticket with psoft. We will correct it after they reply.
 
can't you just refund my $6? or add $6 credit to my account?
waiting for answer from psoft is none of my concern :(
