Reseller Host name

I am about to sign of for a reseller account but have a couple of questions 1st.

I will not be selling hosting. I create & maintain websites for booksellers and will be using the reseller accounts to allow my customers more control of their email accounts. I will still be managing the websites.

1) I assume I can setup the accounts. (i.e. My clients will not sign up... I will create everything then give them access)

2) I also assume I will have full access to their accounts.

3) I hope I will have enough control over the CP to turn off most of the advanced options.

4) I currently have an windows account with my main domain and 2 of my clients.... can I turn that account into a reseller account?

Following is the answer of your queries :

1) You can sign up for accounts on behalf of your clients and then grant them access.

2) You will be having full access to their accounts.

3) Yes, you can control all the resources from your reseller control panel.

4) you need to open a ticket with user & account information of shared accounts and your new reseller account. We will then move your current account(s) under this new reseller account.

Do I have FTP access to their accounts? I could not figure out how to do it.

I set up a DNS zone but I'm not happy with the base domain I used.

Whats the best way to wack it and start over?

What I really want to do is use my business domain that I already have hosted on a JoDo account but it would not let me.

Well, you could use WebShell to view their files

The best thing to do is create a new DNS zone. Next delete the server aliases for the old dns zone and recreate them with the new one. Following that, update your plans so they use instant aliases of the new dns zone

I actually will be maintaining my clients websites (they will maintain their email). I have to upload data files to their sites 3-4 times a week. So if there is not 1 global FTP account I can use over all their accounts is it possible to have a 2nd ftp user added to each account? (we're only talking ~10 hopefully up to 20 accounts)

I was able to do that except I had to switch each aliases 1-by-1. Seemed to work.

However, I can ping cp.wobbookseller.com but not any of the other server aliases. Do that just take time?

I had mentioned in the 1st message that I have 2 regular jodo accounts with a combination of my clients domains and my domains.

It seems I can just create accounts for my clients domains and stick my personal domains under my service account?
