As an old time user of Jodohost, I received an email today stating I'm on an old plan, and mentions new resources after Sept '08 as follows:
"In comparison to the plan you are using and plans offered after Sept 08 till April 2011 :
1) We are offering less number of dedicated ips free.
2) Additional Dedicated ip prices has been increased up to $2.50 per month per dedicated ip for reseller's.
3) Each sub-ftp (Windows ) will be charged @ $.50 per month per FTP
4) Resellers will be able to resell only Windows and Linux Hosting, not VPS.
5) We have removed Catch All and Auto responder features form Email feature list.
6) You have Shared SSL support for only EMAILS
7) One click Installer (Easy App) is available for only Linux Hosting, not for windows.
1) Only our old plan users have privilege to add as many as additional users, our new plan users have cap on even adding additional end users.
2) You can continue using your old Linux VPS resources, which you have already created under your account. We have stopped Linux VPS for new plan users "
Although it doesn't affect me greatly as I don't use many of these features (auto responder is useful from time to time when I'm holidays though), I can't see any benefits in moving to the new plan - am I missing something here, or will old users eventually be forced onto the newer plans?
