In an effort to bring more services and features to our clients, we will be performing a control panel upgrade starting 00:30 AM CST on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013. Here the control panel will be upgraded from H-Sphere 3.6.0 SPU 53 to H-Sphere 3.6.1 PV2.
New features that will be made available are:
1) Apache 2 upgraded to 2.2.23
2) PHP 5.3 upgraded to 5.3.18 (for Linux servers.)
3) PHP accelerators for PHP 5.3 on CentOS 6 (APC version 3.1.9, eAccelerator 0.9.6.1, XCache 1.3.2).
4) New Plesk-like theme named "Parallels Panel".
5) BIND upgraded to 9.6-ESV-R8
6) JDK for Linux upgraded to 1.6.0 update 37
Upgrade process -
==================
H-Sphere upgrade of entire cluster will be done in phases. Expected time to completion - 72 hours.
The first phase being the control panel server itself, this will involve the control panel services being completely down for about 2-3 hours. Control panel will again be intermittently down at various times during the rest of upgrade process of servers.
The next phase will be for server upgrades of NS, Linux Web, MySQL, PgSQL and Mail servers. We'll regularly post it on the forums about the servers that are going to be upgrade.
