TYPE OF WORK: Memory replacement + IOS Update
PURPOSE OF WORK: Repair
IMPACT OF WORK: Approx 10 mins loss of connectivity during the window

Our upstream network provider will be replacing all of the memory in one of their core routers as they suspect it may be faulty. The IOS software on the core routers will upgraded to the latest version at the same time. We estimate that this process should require approximately 10 minutes of downtime.

On the Friday afternoon of 5/11, we experienced a 10 minute network outage where the router had rebooted itself and caused routing issues. This maintenance is aimed at preventing such an incident from happening again.

Correction. It will take place on Friday Night/Saturday Morning, as indicated in the timings

The core part of maintenance is complete and went a bit longer than expected but was very successful.
One more router reload may be required in the next 20 minutes.

The config changes were made shortly after my last post without and downtime or issue.
