Server Backups

Backups on servers are done every 24-36 Hrs, based on server load. Mail server don't have backup, even that don't require it.

mail servers dont have a backup?! Why dont they require it? Surely if your offering IMAP support, that means that you are storing data. Which therefore needs backup does it not?

If you wernt offering IMAP, just pop3, then I can understand that a backup may not be required, I think.

Some clarification needed i think..

Mail servers DO have backup, I think the proper way to say it would be, that we do not have backups that we can restore on a per user basis(without a lot of trouble, we have done it before however).

Mail backups are done, in fact mail backups are done more often and in more ways than any other services.

I'm confused. So Main Serves are backed up 24 or 36hrs? Mail Servers?

I want to add Daily Backups to my websites table for features offered for Linux and Windows. So I need to make sure this is valid. I though I saw somewhrere on JodoHost Website Daily Backups are done.

WebD.

Yes, Backups are done every 24 to 48 hours, during our morning shift. Mail backups are done as well, and it IS possible to restore individual mail and user accounts.

All oir servers also support RAID so there is basic disk redundancy too

Sorry If I am not understading this, I just want to make sure I have the correct information on my hosting site for my visitors.

You say every 24-48 hours back ups are done. So they are not done every 24 hrs. They are done sometimes every 48 hours, is this what you mean?

Thanks,
WebD.

The frequency varies between 24 to 48 hours. The servers are systematically backed up based on a schedule. But on average, they are always backed up every 24 to 48 hours.
