slow ftp upload speeds?

Is anyone else experiencing slow uploading speeds for ftp? I'm only getting 2 - 4kbps and it's taking forever to upload my site. Could it be my WS_FTP Professional? I have a 3meg pipe down / 256kbps up.
 
Hello please specify which server you are on, but in general no slow FTP speeds are not common, with that upload speed I would think you should get between 18-30kb/s uploads.
 
I have experienced pauses when uploading on ftp quite often, but usually a little while later it speeds up again.

I upload to 3 different jodo servers and it constantly maxes my upload at 100kb/s
 
I usually (99% of time) get fast and reliable FTP to several Jodo servers (246k UP, 2 Meg down).
 
I've never hit 15k upload ftp to the servers... how can I tell which servers my websites are hosted on?

Login to your CP, then go to the FTP user section, there it will say something like username X (yours) Servername: X.servername.com X in this case is the server it is on :)
