So confused...

Sorry to sound thick, but I've set paid for a resellers account so that I can host multiple websites (not really bothered about hosting as a business)...So I've downloaded the step by step guide and have got stuck at DNS server alias...it comes up with an error regarding "No Service IP available for host win7.m****here.biz"...don't know what to do...

My second problem, my domain name is registered with another company, i've been to their control panel to change the nameservers...1st thing I did was put in "ns1.mydomain.co.uk" and the same for the second...it then came back saying that this is not correct.

I then put the actual numbers in "12.123.12.1" this sort of thing and it still errored me...I finally put in "mydomain.co.uk" for both nameservers and it accepted it...is this right? will my domain disappear into Net Nothingness? help

Ignore the Win7 prompt. That is a new server that is not yet serving customers

If mydomain.co.uk is your desired service domain (for which you created name servers in the control panel), you will also have to visit your domain registrar and first create these name servers with them as well pointing to the ips given in the control panel. That means, they should have some privision with them to allow you to create ns1.mydomain.co.uk and ns2.mydomain.co.uk.

Once you create those name servers with your registrar, they will be available globally on the internet and then you can change mydomain.co.uk's name servers to ns1 and ns2.mydomain.co.uk

The story so far

Ok, I've got the people at my Domain Registrar to ammend my name servers. When I do a on-line "ping" with "mydomain.co.uk"...I get an error "Sorry, I could not determine the IP for rentahost.co.uk (error 11001)."

When I use the IP numbers I get this:

Pinging 63.209.xxx.x [63.209.xxx.x]:

Ping #1: Got reply from 63.209.xxx.x in 68ms [TTL=50]
Ping #2: Got reply from 63.209.xxx.x in 68ms [TTL=50]
Ping #3: Got reply from 63.209.xxx.x in 70ms [TTL=50]
Ping #4: Got reply from 63.209.xxx.x in 69ms [TTL=50]

Done pinging 63.209.xxx.x!

Is there something elese I need to do in the control panel (reseller)...it's doing my head in!

No, you have set up things great

cp.mydomain.co.uk and all server aliases are pinging great
The reason you can't ping mydomain.co.uk is becuase you haven't setup a site for it yet. Create a service plan (refer to the step-by-step) and then create an account to host this domain under it

OK...I've set up my own "system" account for creating my own Hosting Site. My domain is now pointing to the site. With regards to "User Accounts", does this mean that I can only have 15 Customers or does it mean I can have 15 different "Products": for example

Value 1
Value 2
Business 1
Business 2
etc...

In ValueHost Plan, you can have 15 customers without paying us anything extra. When you exceed this limit you can upgrade to higher plan or pay us $ 0.50 per month per additional customer.

Thanks for the answer...

2 questions...

I've set up my Admin Account, I've then created a Unix plan and have signed up to the plan. I've then pointed my Domain to it and after propagation, I can now use my own Domain name.

1. I cannot e-mail by using my own Domain, what is going wrong?

2. When going to my Domain, I gat the option of logging in to the CP, viwing CGI scripts and access to sitebuilder, however none of my passwords work with site builder?
