We want to get a SSL certificate for our reseller’s website so that when a client, for example, logs into their control panel that they do not see the certificate name mismatch warning.
When you get a SSL key from any of the distrubiters (I use www.instantssl.com Have not had a problem with them yet…) I use a wildcard so i can use the same SSL key for the whole site including sub domains… e.g… *.domainname.com … so when u call https://secure.domainname.com it would work for www as well… with out security pop ups… its 199.00 for a 128bit 3 year cert. not a bad deal!

Funny that this comes up now… I just posted a thread in Chit-Chat about Registerfly’s SSL Cert - http://www.registerfly.com/ssl/ for $24.95 wondering if anyone had used it before.
Whilst we are on the subject have there been any recorded cases of an unsecured control panel being compromised ? I don?t mean just mean here at jodo?? ?(
